Agapolis Personal Responsibility Commitments

One of our core values at Agapolis is Personal Responsibility. For all residents, visitors, and collaborators, we ask for your full participation in creating a great vibe of presence, peace, creativity, connection, and fun.  That means, by coming to Agapolis, you agree to the following:

At Agapolis, we want to encourage a culture of freedom, and we trust our residents and visitors to be fully responsible for themselves and their actions.  Express yourself freely, but be aware of how your actions impact others. If you use alcohol or any other substances, please do so responsibly and respect others' choices not to partake. If you smoke, please do so only outside and be aware of the non-smokers around you. Fire hazard is real, so always dispose of your butts mindfully.

BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR ACTIONS

LEAVE NO TRACE

Please show our home (and planet) some love and pick up any matter out of place that you find, whether or not it’s yours. Dispose of refuse in the correct bins and lend a hand in cleaning -up as you feel called.

PRACTICE CONSCIOUS CONSENT

Consent is an idea so ubiquitous and seemingly obvious that people assume everyone understands it. Unfortunately, that’s not a safe assumption, and mistakes about consent cause serious harm.

Consent is an agreement between two or more people to engage or not engage in specific activities together. Consent is not just about sex, it’s needed before acting on any desires involving others. If you want to take a photo of someone, ask consent!  If you want to touch someone, ask consent! If you want to engage with someone sexually, you must receive “Hell Yeah” consent from all parties involved. If you are at all unsure, the answer is “no.” It happens often that the vibe changes and someone's enthusiasm wanes: pay attention to that and take responsibility, even when it's most difficult to do so.

There are some areas of our property where clothing is optional, such as the swimming pool and hot tub areas. Obviously, nudity is never expected or required, and we welcome all people to cover their bodies at whatever level makes them feel most comfortable.  Nudity is not an invitation nor a suggestion for sexual advances of any kind.

RESPECT YOUR BODY AND OTHERS

Stay in the designated areas on our property. We are fairly new to this neighborhood and still building trust and good relations with our neighbors.

RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS

BE MINDFUL OF NOISE

Out of respect for both our neighbors and the people enjoying the tranquility of nature.  During events, please use quiet voices outside after 10pm. On regular days, quiet hours start at 10pm in all locations.

To cultivate a space in which we can freely share ideas and ways of being, do not share photos or stories without explicit consent.

NO PHOTOS WITHOUT EXPLICIT CONSENT

Please treat this home with love as well and help us to uplift and co-create this space!

LOVE OUR HOME LIKE WE DO!

Thank you for joining us for celebrating our place on this planet and our connection with each other.
